चमोली: पोखरी विकास खंड के खन्नी गांव के मोहित सिंह राणा कड़ी मेहनत के बाद सेना में अधिकारी बन गए है। मोहित की इस उपलब्धि पर पूरे क्षेत्र में खुशी का माहौल है।
गढ़वाल राइफल्स की 14वीं बटालियन के राइफलमैन मोहित सिंह राणा ने प्रयागराज स्थित 19 SSB से भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी (IMA) के अधिकारी कैडर में चयन प्राप्त किया है। यह उनका तीसरा प्रयास था। पूर्व प्रयासों में मेरिट से बाहर होने के बावजूद उन्होंने निरंतर अपने लक्ष्य की ओर मेहनत जारी रखी और तीसरे प्रयास में सफलता अर्जित की।
मोहित मूलतः चमोली जनपद के खन्नी गांव निवासी हैं। मोहित 10वीं बटालियन के पूर्व सूबेदार चंद्र मोहन सिंह राणा के सुपुत्र हैं। वर्तमान में वे अपने माता-पिता के साथ देहरादून के नथुवाला क्षेत्र में निवासरत हैं। उनके ताऊ श्री रघुनाथ सिंह राणा पोखरी के बिनगढ़ स्थित जूनियर हाई स्कूल में शिक्षक के पद पर कार्यरत हैं।
मोहित अपनी इस सफलता का श्रेय अपने माता-पिता, अपनी यूनिट के कमांडिंग अफसर कर्नल अमित कुमार डिमरी (शौर्य चक्र), 14वीं बटालियन गढ़वाल राइफल्स के समस्त सदस्यों एवं अपने मार्गदर्शक कमांडर विकास यादव सर (LWS SSB Academy, नई दिल्ली) को देते हैं।
वे अपने मामा श्री कुलदीप रावत जो कि नैनीसैंण स्थित राजकीय इंटर कॉलेज में अध्यापक हैं से भी प्रेरित रहे हैं और उन्होंने प्रत्येक चरण में उनका उत्साहवर्धन एवं मार्गदर्शन किया।
मोहित की इस उपलब्धि पर राज्यसभा सांसद महेंद्र भट्ट, बद्रीनाथ विधायक लखपत बुटोला, जिला पंचायत प्रशासक रजनी भंडारी, पूर्व कैबिनेट राजेंद्र भंडारी आदि ने खुशी जताई हुई बधाई दी।
