सिंचाई विभाग के जलाशयों में जमा सिल्ट को निकाले जाने के संबंध में मुख्य सचिव ने दिए जरूरी निर्देश…

देहरादून: मुख्य सचिव आनंद बर्धन की अध्यक्षता में सिंचाई विभाग के जलाशयों में जमा सिल्ट को निकाले जाने के संबंध में संबंधित अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक आयोजित हुई। मुख्य सचिव ने सिंचाई विभाग के अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया कि जिन जलाशयों में अधिक मात्रा में सिल्ट जमा हो चुका है तथा जिससे उसकी धारण क्षमता में अत्यधिक कमी आई है उनके सिल्ट को निकालने के लिए प्रस्ताव तैयार कर शासन को प्रस्तुत करें। जिससे जलाशयों की धारण क्षमता में वृद्धि हो जाए तथा उसके डाउनस्ट्रीम में किसी भी तरह के जलभराव की आशंका न रहे।

उन्होंने यह भी निर्देशित किया कि सिल्ट निकालने के लिए फॉरेस्ट रिजर्व क्षेत्र के मानक का पालन करते हुए प्रस्ताव तैयार करें तथा इसके लिए राष्ट्रीय जल विज्ञान संस्थान, रुड़की जैसे संस्थान से स्टडी करवाना भी सुनिश्चित करें। ताकि सिल्ट निकालने की प्रक्रिया वैज्ञानिक तरीके से संपन्न की जा सके। बैठक में सचिव युगल किशोर पंत, चीफ वाइल्ड लाइफ वार्डन रंजन कुमार मिश्रा, सिंचाई विभाग से सुभाष चंद्र पांडेय, मुख्य महाप्रबंधक जल संस्थान डी. के. सिंह सहित संबंधित अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
