खटीमा 09 अप्रैल। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने गुरुवार को खटीमा के खेतलसंडा स्थित सीएसडी कैंटीन में सेवा संकल्प धारिणी फाउंडेशन द्वारा स्व. सूबेदार शेर सिंह धामी की छठी पुण्यतिथि पर आयोजित गौरव सैनिक सम्मान समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में प्रतिभाग किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने 715.51 लाख रुपये की लागत से निर्मित सीएसडी कैंटीन तथा 162.26 लाख रुपये की लागत से बने सैनिक मिलन केन्द्र का लोकार्पण किया।

कार्यक्रम में मुख्यमंत्री ने अपने पिता स्व. सूबेदार शेर सिंह धामी के चित्र पर श्रद्धासुमन अर्पित किए और शहीदों को नमन किया। उन्होंने शहीदों के परिजनों एवं वीर नारियों को शॉल ओढ़ाकर सम्मानित किया। इस अवसर पर 60 वीर नारियों और 80 वीर योद्धाओं को सम्मानित किया गया।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह उनके लिए भावुक क्षण है, क्योंकि यह आयोजन उनके पिता की स्मृति में हो रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि उनके पिता के विचार, सिद्धांत और संघर्षपूर्ण जीवन आज भी उन्हें प्रेरित करते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि उनके पिता 28 वर्षों तक महार रेजिमेंट में सेवा देते हुए 1962 के भारत-चीन युद्ध, 1965 और 1971 के भारत-पाक युद्ध सहित कई महत्वपूर्ण अभियानों में शामिल रहे।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में देश के रक्षा क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय प्रगति हुई है। उन्होंने बताया कि वर्ष 2014-15 में रक्षा उत्पादन लगभग 46 हजार करोड़ रुपये था, जो बढ़कर 2024-25 में 1.54 लाख करोड़ रुपये तक पहुंच गया है। वहीं रक्षा निर्यात भी बढ़कर लगभग 38 हजार करोड़ रुपये हो गया है और भारत 80 से अधिक देशों को रक्षा सामग्री उपलब्ध करा रहा है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार सैनिकों, शहीदों और उनके परिजनों के कल्याण के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रही है। शहीदों के परिजनों को मिलने वाली अनुग्रह राशि में वृद्धि की गई है और आश्रितों को सरकारी नौकरी दी जा रही है। परमवीर चक्र विजेताओं को दी जाने वाली राशि को 50 लाख रुपये से बढ़ाकर डेढ़ करोड़ रुपये कर दिया गया है। देहरादून में भव्य सैन्य धाम का निर्माण भी किया जा रहा है।

उन्होंने कहा कि बलिदानी सैनिकों के परिवारों को सरकारी नौकरी के लिए आवेदन की अवधि दो वर्ष से बढ़ाकर पांच वर्ष कर दी गई है।

इस अवसर पर सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री गणेश जोशी ने कहा कि सैनिकों का सम्मान करना पूरे प्रदेश के लिए गौरव की बात है और राज्य सरकार उनके कल्याण के लिए लगातार कार्य कर रही है।

कार्यक्रम में मुख्यमंत्री की माताजी विशना देवी, उनकी धर्मपत्नी गीता पुष्कर धामी, कैबिनेट मंत्री प्रदीप बत्रा, राम सिंह कैड़ा, अन्य जनप्रतिनिधि और अधिकारी भी उपस्थित रहे।
