जनपद रुद्रप्रयाग के बसुकेदार क्षेत्र में 28 अगस्त को आई दैवीय आपदा के दौरान मयाली–गुप्तकाशी मार्ग पर ल्वाड़ा के समीप स्थित 12 मीटर लंबे स्पान का पुल क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया था, जिससे क्षेत्र की लाइफलाइन कहे जाने वाला यह मार्ग पूरी तरह बाधित हो गया था और स्थानीय जनजीवन बुरी तरह प्रभावित हुआ था।

लेकिन अब राहत की खबर है। जिलाधिकारी प्रतीक जैन के निर्देशों के बाद आज से पुल निर्माण का कार्य शुरू कर दिया गया है। निर्माण कार्य के लिए आवश्यक सामग्री ल्वाड़ा पहुंच चुकी है और लोक निर्माण विभाग द्वारा युद्धस्तर पर कार्य प्रारंभ किया गया है।

आज अपर जिलाधिकारी श्याम सिंह राणा ने स्वयं निर्माण स्थल का स्थलीय निरीक्षण किया और मौके पर मौजूद अधिकारियों को निर्धारित समयसीमा के भीतर कार्य पूरा करने के निर्देश दिए।लोक निर्माण खंड ऊखीमठ के अधिशासी अभियंता आर.पी. नैथानी ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि आपदा में क्षतिग्रस्त हुए स्टेट हाईवे-37 (मयाली–गुप्तकाशी मार्ग) पर स्थित इस वेली ब्रिज((Valley Bridge) का निर्माण कार्य आज से आरंभ कर दिया गया है।

उन्होंने बताया कि पहले यह पुल 12 मीटर लंबा था, जिसे अब 14 से 16 मीटर तक बढ़ाया जा रहा है, जिससे पुल को ओर अधिक मज़बूती मिल सके।उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि पुल निर्माण का कार्य एक सप्ताह के भीतर पूरा कर लिया जाएगा, जिससे स्थानीय लोगों को आवागमन में सुविधा होगी और क्षेत्र की सामाजिक व आर्थिक गतिविधियां दोबारा सुचारु हो सकेंगी।
