राजधानी देहरादून में नवजात शिशुओं के बेहतर स्वास्थ्य संरक्षण की दिशा में जिला प्रशासन ने एक सराहनीय कदम उठाया है। गांधी शताब्दी जिला अस्पताल में संचालित स्पेशल न्यूबॉर्न केयर यूनिट (एसएनसीयू) को अब और अधिक सुदृढ़ व आधुनिक बनाया गया है, जिससे गंभीर रूप से बीमार नवजात शिशुओं को उन्नत उपचार मिल पा रहा है।
मा० मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी की प्रेरणा और मार्गदर्शन में स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को मजबूत करने के उद्देश्य से यह पहल की गई है। जिलाधिकारी सविन बंसल स्वयं एसएनसीयू की नियमित मॉनिटरिंग कर रहे हैं। डीएम ने नवजात शिशुओं को अस्पताल तक सुरक्षित रूप से लाने और ले जाने के लिए एक डेडिकेटेड वाहन भी तैनात किया गया है, जिससे समय पर उपचार सुनिश्चित हो सके।
नवजात शिशुओं की बढ़ती संख्या को देखते हुए पहले सिंगल वार्ड में संचालित 6 बेड के एसएनसीयू को अब डबल वार्ड में विस्तारित कर 12 बेड कर दिया गया है। बेहतर चिकित्सकीय व्यवस्था, प्रशिक्षित डॉक्टरों और नर्सिंग स्टाफ की उपलब्धता के चलते अब तक 492 से अधिक नवजात शिशुओं को सफल उपचार प्रदान किया जा चुका है।
देहरादून के गांधी शताब्दी जिला अस्पताल में नवंबर 2024 में प्रारंभ हुई इस यूनिट को अब आधुनिक सुविधाओं से लैस किया गया है। एसएनसीयू में दो मदर बोर्ड, स्टाफ रूम सहित अन्य आवश्यक व्यवस्थाएं उपलब्ध कराई गई हैं। सुरक्षा और सुव्यवस्थित संचालन को ध्यान में रखते हुए पूरे वार्ड में सीसीटीवी कैमरे भी लगाए गए हैं। यह यूनिट जिले में सुदृढ़ होती स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं का एक उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण बनकर उभरी है।
अस्पताल में भर्ती नवजात शिशुओं के माता-पिता ने भी जिला प्रशासन की इस पहल की सराहना की है। उनका कहना है कि यहां डॉक्टर और नर्सिंग स्टाफ 24 घंटे पूरी तत्परता से बच्चों की देखभाल कर रहे हैं, जिससे उन्हें संतोष और भरोसा मिला है। उन्होंने मा० मुख्यमंत्री और जिलाधिकारी का आभार व्यक्त किया।
बाल रोग विशेषज्ञ डॉ. मीता श्रीवास्तव ने बताया कि हाल ही में दो नवजात शिशुओं को स्वस्थ होने के बाद डिस्चार्ज किया गया है, जबकि आज ही एक नवजात को हरिद्वार से रेफर कर यहां लाया गया। उन्होंने कहा कि स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं के विस्तार से एसएनसीयू में अब नवजातों को बेहतर और सुरक्षित उपचार मिल रहा है।
देहरादून का यह एसएनसीयू न केवल नवजात शिशुओं के जीवन को सुरक्षित कर रहा है, बल्कि जनकल्याण की दिशा में जिला प्रशासन की संवेदनशीलता और प्रतिबद्धता को भी दर्शा रहा है।
