जनपद टिहरी गढ़वाल में सड़क सुरक्षा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित

जिलाधिकारी टिहरी गढ़वाल नितिका खण्डेलवाल के दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुपालन में जनपद के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों, स्कूलों, टैक्सी-मैक्सी यूनियनों एवं संस्थानों में सड़क सुरक्षा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम संचालित किए जा रहे हैं।

इसी क्रम में आज परिवहन विभाग टिहरी द्वारा पी.एम. श्री प्राथमिक विद्यालय दुंगीधार में विद्यालय स्टाफ के सहयोग से सड़क सुरक्षा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम में सभी छात्रों के अभिभावक उपस्थित रहे। इस दौरान बच्चों को यातायात नियमों की जानकारी दी गई तथा सड़क पर चलते समय सतर्क रहने के महत्व पर जोर दिया गया।

परिवहन विभाग की ओर से प्रवर्तन अधिकारी बृजमोहन रावत ने बच्चों को हेलमेट एवं सीटबेल्ट के उपयोग, सड़क संकेतों की पहचान और सुरक्षित तरीके से सड़क पार करने के बारे में विस्तार से जानकारी दी। इस अवसर पर विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य विवेक जोशी, मोर सिंह असवाल, सभी अध्यापकगण एवं स्थानीय लोग भी उपस्थित रहे।

विद्यालय की ओर से सड़क सुरक्षा पर पोस्टर प्रतियोगिता का भी आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें वैष्णवी प्रथम, जिज्ञासा द्वितीय, सार्थक तृतीय, मीरा चतुर्थ, अनीशा पंचम, अरुण छठे एवं देवेश सातवें स्थान पर रहे। विजेताओं को ए.आर.टी.ओ. टिहरी सत्येंद्र राज द्वारा पुरस्कृत किया गया।

इसके अतिरिक्त परिवहन विभाग द्वारा आज टिहरी–चंबा रोड पर सार्वजनिक सेवायानों में डस्टबिन की उपलब्धता की जांच हेतु विशेष अभियान चलाया गया। इस दौरान 16 वाहनों के चालान किए गए।
