स्यानाचट्टी में बनी कृत्रिम झील को खोलने के प्रयास निरंतर जारी हैं। झील के एक हिस्से को खोलने के लिए पीडब्ल्यूडी, एसडीआरएफ, सिंचाई विभाग और अन्य सम्बंधित एजेंसियां जुटी हैं।

पिछले एक घंटे में झील के जलस्तर में लगभग 2 फूट तक कमी आई है।

वहीं, माननीय मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने सचिव आपदा प्रबंधन एवं पुनर्वास विनोद कुमार सुमन को स्यानाचट्टी चट्टी में बनी झील से जल निकासी हेतु जिला प्रशासन के साथ समन्वय स्थापित करते हुए चैनेलाइजेशन करने के लिए समुचित कदम उठाने के निर्देश दिए हैं। साथ ही उन्होंने स्थानीय लोगों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्रभावी तथा सभी एहतियाती कदम उठाने को कहा है। मुख्यमंत्री ने सुरक्षित स्थानों में ठहराए गए लोगों के साथ ही स्यानाचट्टी के निवासियों के लिए भोजन, रसोई गैस, दवाइयों के साथ ही पेट्रोल व डीजल तथा अन्य आवश्यक वस्तुओं की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए हैं।

सचिव आपदा प्रबंधन एवं पुनर्वास विनोद कुमार सुमन ने बताया कि वर्तमान में नदी के एक हिस्से से पानी की निकासी हो रही है। दलदल होने के कारण चैनेलाइजेशन करना अभी संभव नहीं हो पाया है। राहत और बचाव दलों द्वारा अन्य विकल्पों पर भी विचार किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने स्थानीय लोगों से धैर्य बनाए रखने तथा किसी भी प्रकार की अफवाह पर ध्यान न देने की अपील की है। उन्होंने बताया कि एसडीआरएफ, एनडीआरफ, फायर तथा सिंचाई विभाग की टीम राफ्ट के जरिए ग्राउंड जीरो पर पहुंच गई हैं।

वहीं, यमुना वैली के स्यानाचट्टी में मलबा आने से निर्मित झील को जल्द से जल्द खोलने के लिए एनडीआरएफ, एसडीआरएफ, पुलिस, आपदा प्रबंधन, पीडब्ल्यूडी की टीमें मौके पर हैं। पूरे क्षेत्र की ड्रोन से निगरानी की जा रही है। यमुनोत्री के विधायक संजय डोभाल तथा उत्तरकाशी के जिलाधिकारी प्रशांत आर्य स्वयं मौके पर मौजूद हैं। स्वास्थ्य, राजस्व, खाद्य आपूर्ति विभाग की टीम में भी ग्राउंड जीरो पर मुस्तैद हैं।
