मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी के स्पष्ट निर्देशों के क्रम में नगर निगम हरिद्वार में सामने आए भूमि घोटाले में कठोर कार्रवाई की गई है। जांच में दोषी पाए गए 10 अधिकारियों को तत्काल प्रभाव से निलंबित कर दिया गया है, जबकि 2 कार्मिकों का सेवा विस्तार समाप्त कर दिया गया है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने पूरे प्रकरण की विस्तृत जांच सतर्कता विभाग (Vigilance Department) से कराए जाने के निर्देश दिए हैं ताकि दोषियों की पूरी श्रृंखला का खुलासा हो सके और पारदर्शिता बनी रहे।
इसके अतिरिक्त, उक्त भूमि घोटाले से संबंधित विक्रय पत्र (Sale Deed) को निरस्त करते हुए भूस्वामियों को दिए गए धन की रिकवरी सुनिश्चित करने के सख्त निर्देश भी दिए गए हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने तत्कालीन नगर आयुक्त श्री वरुण चौधरी के कार्यकाल के दौरान नगर निगम हरिद्वार में हुए सभी कार्यों का विशेष ऑडिट कराए जाने के निर्देश दिए हैं ताकि वित्तीय अनियमितताओं की समुचित जांच की जा सके।
मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार भ्रष्टाचार के प्रति जीरो टॉलरेंस की नीति पर दृढ़ता से कार्य कर रही है और किसी भी स्तर पर भ्रष्टाचार बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा।
