उत्तराखंड में शनिवार का दिन राजनीति में सराबोर रहा। यहां शहरी निकाय चुनाव के आज नतीजे घोषित हो रहे हैं। राज्य में 11 नगर निगम, 46 नगर पालिका और 43 नगर पंचायतों के साथ ही निगम पार्षद के 540, नगर पालिकाओं में सभासद के 444 और नगर पंचायतों में वार्ड सदस्य के 298 पदों पर चुनाव की मतगणना चल रही है। मुख्य मुकाबला भाजपा और कांग्रेस के बीच चल रहा है। लेकिन निगम से लेकर पार्षद तक कई जगहों पर निर्दलीय प्रत्याशी भी झंडा बुलंद कर रहे हैं।
उत्तराखंड नगर निकाय के चुनाव परिणाम आ रहे हैं। 11 नगर निगम में से भाजपा ने 10 और निर्दलीय कैंडिडेट ने एक जगह जीत हासिल की है। हालांकि 2 सीट पर कांग्रेस ने मजबूत टक्कर दी। बात निर्दलीय प्रत्याशियों की करें पौड़ी गढ़वाल के श्रीनगर नगर निगम में आरती भंडारी लगातार बढ़त बनाए रहीं और जीत दर्ज की। भाजपा प्रत्याशी आशा उपाध्याय और कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी मीना रावत हार गईं। आरती भाजपा की बागी कैंडिडेट हैं।
पिथौरागढ़ में घंटी चुनाव चिह्न से लड़ रहीं निर्दलीय मोनिका महर हारकर भी छाई रहीं। भाजपा की कल्पना ने जीत हासिल की। मोनिका ने टिकट कटने पर कांग्रेस से बगावत कर दी। उनके पति ऋषेंद्र कांग्रेस के पदाधिकारी थे, जिन्हें बाहर का रास्ता दिखा दिया गया है। कद्दावर नेता और विधायक मयूख महर ने भी पार्टी लाइन बदलते हुए मोनिका को सपोर्ट किया है। नजदीकी मुकाबले में मोनिका हार गईं।
ऐसे ही मसूरी नगर पालिका चुनाव में निर्दलीय प्रत्याशी उपम पावर गुप्ता करीबी मुकाबले में हार गईं। भारतीय जनता पार्टी की प्रत्याशी मीरा सकलानी जीत गईं। और कांग्रेस पार्टी की प्रत्याशी मंजू भंडारी तीसरे नंबर पर हैं। यहां मसूरी नगर पालिका परिषद के चुनाव में वार्ड नंबर 1 से निर्दलीय प्रत्याशी गौरी थपलियाल, वार्ड नंबर 2 से निर्दलीय प्रत्याशी शिवानी भारती, वार्ड नंबर 4 से विशाल निर्दलीय प्रत्याशी विशाल खरोला, वार्ड नंबर 5 से निर्दलीय प्रत्याशी रितु चौहान ने जीत हासिल की है।
हल्द्वानी के परिणाम पर गौर करें तो यहां वार्ड 1 से निर्दलीय बबली वर्मा जीतीं। वार्ड 20 से निर्दलीय हेमंत शर्मा, वार्ड 2 से निर्दलीय निर्मला तिवारी, वार्ड 48 से निर्दलीय मुकुल बलूटिया, वार्ड 36 से निर्दलीय तनुजा जोशी, वार्ड 21 से निर्दलीय मोहमद गुफरान जीते हैं।
