A BSB (Bank State Branch) identifies the recipient’s bank and branch, while the account number identifies their individual
account. Instead of using cash, you authorise your bank to
move funds digitally using mobile or Online Banking. Sending or receiving money is now more convenient than ever for Australians, with a range of secure
digital payment options available. Payments to a BSB and account number
will only occur in near real-time if both parties have eligible accounts.

Osko by BPAY® allows these fast payments to be made, typically in less than a few seconds, between eligible accounts at participating financial institutions,

Some credit unions require members to visit branches for initial PayID activation due to enhanced security protocols.
    Member-owned financial institutions typically process
PayID registrations during extended business hours. Navigate to
“Pay & Transfer” then select “Manage PayID” to modify
your linked account, update notification preferences,
or temporarily suspend your PayID when needed. Choose the account where you want to receive PayID
payments by selecting it from the available options. NAB displays all eligible accounts during the linking process, showing account names, BSB numbers, and current
balances. Select your preferred transaction account from the dropdown list of eligible
    NAB accounts.
Most banks allow PayID suspension, account linking changes,
and notification preference updates through their digital banking platforms.
For security reasons, changes to your name or date
of birth can’t be made online and need to be completed in branch.

Once you’ve updated your ABN either in your
Online Banking or by visiting a branch, you can use
it to set up a new PayID in the Westpac App or Online Banking.

Business PayIDs using ABNs may require additional verification steps that
extend the timeline to hours. Additionally, you can change the linked account later through your PayID management settings.
Select “PayID” from the available options, then choose “Register a PayID” to
begin the setup process. CommBank applies default limits based on your account
history, but you can request adjustments through your banking settings or by contacting customer service directly.

These controls allow you to modify your linked account, update notification preferences, and adjust security settings according to your
banking needs. However, you can modify this selection later through
your banking settings if your financial needs change.
Clear your banking app’s cache and stored data if PayID setup continues
failing after updates and restarts. Banking app glitches
occasionally prevent successful PayID registration, particularly when apps require updates or experience connectivity issues.
These processes typically take hours but may extend longer for complex verification requirements or high-risk account profiles.
Most banks offer transaction accounts specifically designed for digital
payment services, including PayID, Osko, and other instant transfer technologies.
Contact your bank’s customer service team to verify which accounts
support PayID functionality. Additionally, update any recurring payment arrangements that rely on your PayID to prevent disruption to scheduled transfers or
    bill payments.
Banks verify these contact details through SMS codes or email confirmations during
registration. Most banks require customers to
register PayID through their official digital platforms rather
than branch visits. The system operates continuously, processing payments
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays.
Furthermore, the NPP infrastructure ensures these transactions process instantly, even outside
traditional banking hours. Osko uses world leading technology certified
to the highest data security standards and is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a
    week.
You can give your PayID to payees, instead of using your BSB and account number, giving you
an easier way to share your account details. However, we’re aware of email scams which claim
to come from PayID. When you add a new PayID payee, you’ll be able to ‘look
up’ and verify the name of the owner of the PayID.
