मुख्य सचिव आनंद बर्द्धन की अध्यक्षता में गुरुवार को सचिवालय में राज्य आपदा मोचन निधि एवं राज्य आपदा न्यूनीकरण निधि मद के अंतर्गत प्राप्त प्रस्तावों के अनुमोदन हेतु राज्य कार्यकारिणी समिति की बैठक संपन्न हुई। बैठक के दौरान मुख्य सचिव ने समिति द्वारा विभिन्न प्रस्तावों को संस्तुति प्रदान की। मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि कार्यों की गुणवत्ता और भौतिक प्रगति की लगातार समीक्षा की जाए।
मुख्य सचिव ने आपदा प्रबंधन विभाग को स्वीकृत प्रस्तावों को दिए जाने वाले फंड्स एवं कार्य की भौतिक प्रगति की समीक्षा भी किए जाने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि विभागों से एमसीआर का फॉर्मेट पर भौतिक प्रगति रिपोर्ट ली जाए। उन्होंने सिंचाई विभाग को विभागाध्यक्ष की अध्यक्षता वाली नियोजन की इंजीनियर्स समिति को सक्रिय किए जाने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रस्ताव भेजे जाने से पहले इस समिति द्वारा तकनीकी और वित्तीय पहलुओं का परीक्षण करने के बाद ही प्रस्ताव भेजें जायें।
मुख्य सचिव ने सचिव आपदा को राज्य कार्यकारिणी समिति की बैठक में ईएनसी पीडब्ल्यूडी को भी स्थाई सदस्य शामिल किए जाने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने बाढ़ सुरक्षा कार्यों के लिए नॉर्म्स बनाये जाने के भी निर्देश दिए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि कार्यस्थल की स्थिति और प्रकृति के अनुरूप प्रत्येक कार्य की अलग अलग आवश्यकता हो सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रत्येक कार्य की स्थिति एवं प्रकृति के अनुरूप कार्य किया जाना चाहिए, जहाँ संभव हो वहाँ वेजिटेटिव प्रोटेक्शन वर्क को भी प्राथमिकता दी जानी चाहिए।
मुख्य सचिव ने विभागाध्यक्ष सिंचाई को देहरादून के अंतर्गत विभिन्न कैनाल सिस्टम को दुरुस्त करते हुए नहरों के सुधारीकरण एवं मजबूतीकरण कार्यों का प्रस्ताव तैयार किए जाने के भी निर्देश दिए हैं।
इस अवसर पर प्रमुख सचिव श्री आर. मीनाक्षी सुंदरम, सचिव डॉ. वी. षणमुगम, श्री विनोद कुमार सुमन, श्री आनन्द स्वरूप, अपर सचिव श्रीमती रंजना राजगुरु एवं वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से सम्बन्धित जनपदों के जिलाधिकारी सहित अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
