शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में गुणात्मक सुधार के लिए समेकित प्रयास किए जाएं। पहली, छठी तथा नवीं कक्षा में विद्यार्थियों के अधिकाधिक प्रवेश सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्रवेशोत्सव पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाए। विद्यालयों से बालिकाओं के ड्रॉपआउट को कम करने के लिए प्रभावी प्रयास किए जाएं। जो बालिकाएं ड्रॉपआउट हो रही हैं, उनको शिक्षा की धारा से पुनः जोड़ने के प्रयास किए जाएं। इसके लिए व्यापक स्तर पर लोगों को जागरूक भी किया जाए। ये निर्देश मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने शिक्षा विभाग की गेम चेंजर योजनाओं की वर्चुअल समीक्षा के दौरान अधिकारियों को दिए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि विद्यार्थियों के कौशल विकास के साथ ही व्यावसायिक शिक्षा पर भी विशेष ध्यान दिया जाए। नवाचार की दिशा में नियमित कार्य किए जाएं। यह सुनिश्चित किया जाए कि छात्र-छात्राओं को किताबें, नोटबुक और स्कूल ड्रेस समय पर मिले। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को सख्त निर्देश दिए कि शिक्षा विभाग की जो परिसंपत्तियां उपयोग में नहीं हैं, उनका सदुपयोग किया जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि विद्यालयों में बालिकाओं के लिए अलग शौचालयों और सेनेटरी पैड की पर्याप्त उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित की जाए। स्कूल भवनों के सुरक्षा मानकों का विशेष ध्यान रखा जाए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि विद्यालयों में किताबी ज्ञान के साथ ही कला, रंगमंच, खेलकूद की गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा दिया जाए। फिट इंडिया के बारे में बच्चों को जागरूक किया जाए। परीक्षा प्रणाली के सुधार की दिशा में विशेष ध्यान दिया जाए। विद्यालयों में शिक्षकों के रिक्त पदों को जल्द भरा जाए।
बैठक में जानकारी दी गई कि भारत दर्शन योजना के तहत 156 टॉपर्स को दिल्ली, हिमाचल, पंजाब और हरियाणा भेजा गया। छात्रों ने आईआईटी, आईआईएम और अन्य संस्थानों का भ्रमण किया। इस साल 1082 टॉपर्स को भारत दर्शन भ्रमण पर भेजा जाएगा। राज्य के 559 क्लस्टर विद्यालयों को स्मार्ट स्कूल बनाया जाएगा, जिसके तहत 4019 स्मार्ट क्लास संचालित की जाएंगी।
बैठक में शिक्षा मंत्री डॉ. धन सिंह रावत, मुख्य सचिव श्री आनंद बर्द्धन, प्रमुख सचिव श्री आर.के. सुधांशु, श्री आर. मीनाक्षी सुंदरम, सचिव शिक्षा श्री रविनाथ रमन, शिक्षा महानिदेशक सुश्री दीप्ति सिंह, स्थानिक आयुक्त श्री अजय मिश्रा एवं शिक्षा विभाग के अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
