विमंस प्रीमियर लीग (WPL) के 15वें मुकाबले में गुजरात जायंट्स ने बेथ मूनी की नाबाद 96 रन की धमाकेदार पारी और काश्वी गौतम के तीन विकेट की दम पर यूपी वॉरियर्स को उसके घर में 81 रनों के बड़े अंतर से पटखनी दी।
बेथ मूनी भले ही शतक नहीं पूरा कर पाईं, लेकिन अपनी उम्दा पारी से स्टेडियम में मौजूद करीब 10 हजार दर्शकों का खूब मनोरंजन किया। उन्होंने 59 गेंदों पर 17 चौकों की मदद से शानदार 96 रनों की नाबाद पारी खेली। हरलीन देओल (45) ने बेथ मूनी का बखूबी साथ निभाया और गुजरात को 187 रनों तक पहुंचाया।
गुजरात के 187 रनों के जवाब में मेजबान टीम निर्धारित ओवर भी नहीं खेल पाई और 17.1 ओवर में सिर्फ 105 रनों पर आउट हो गई। ऑलराउंडर ग्रेस हैरिस (25), शिनेल हेनरी (28), उमा छेत्री (17) और सोफ़ी एकल्सटन (17) के अलावा एक भी खिलाड़ी दहाई के अंक तक नहीं पहुंच सके।
लीग में छह मुकाबलों में चौथी हार के साथ ही यूपी वॉरियर्स अंक तालिका में सबसे नीचे यानि पांचवें नंबर पर लुढ़क गई है। ऐसे में उसकी नॉकआउट की राह भी कठिन हो गई है। वहीं, गुजरात की टीम दूसरे स्थान पर मौजूद है।
