जापान को हराकर फाइनल में पहुंची भारतीय महिला हॉकी टीम…

पहले तीन क्वार्टर में दर्जन भर से अधिक पेनल्टी कॉर्नर गंवाने के बाद भारत ने आखिरी क्वार्टर में दो गोल करके जापान को 2-0 से हराकर मंगलवार को महिला एशियाई चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी के फाइनल में प्रवेश कर लिया जहां उसका सामना चीन से होगा। पहले तीन क्वार्टर गोलरहित रहने के बाद 48वें मिनट में नवनीत कौर ने पेनल्टी स्ट्रोक पर भारत का खाता खोला जबकि 56वें मिनट में लालरेम्सियामी ने सुनेलिटा टोप्पो के बेहतरीन पास पर दूसरा गोल किया।

उधर दूसरे सेमीफाइनल में पेरिस ओलंपिक रजत पदक विजेता चीन ने मलेशिया को 3-1 से हराया। आखिरी ग्रुप मैच में जापान को 3-0 से हराने वाली भारतीय टीम 48वें मिनट तक गोल के लिए तरसती रही। भारत को पूरे मैच में 16 पेनल्टी कॉर्नर मिले, लेकिन एक पर भी गोल नहीं हो सका और रविवार को चीन के खिलाफ फाइनल से पहले कोच हरेंद्र सिंह के लिए यह चिंता का सबब होगा।

चौथे क्वार्टर के दूसरे मिनट में दीपिका को जापानी डिफेंडर द्वारा बाधा पहुंचाए जाने पर भारत को पेनल्टी स्ट्रोक मिला, जिसे नवनीत ने आसानी से गोल में बदला। आखिरी सीटी बजने से पांच मिनट पहले सुनेलिटा से दाहिने फ्लैंक से मिले सटीक पास को गोल में बदलकर लालरेम्सियामी ने बिहार खेल परिसर स्टेडियम में भारी तादाद में जमा दर्शकों में उत्साह का संचार कर दिया।

जापान को मैच का एकमात्र पेनल्टी कॉर्नर 59वें मिनट में मिला जिसे भारतीय गोलकीपर बिछू देवी ने गोल में नहीं बदलने दिया। मैच में पहले दो क्वार्टर में भारतीय टीम को नौ पेनल्टी कॉर्नर मिले और 13 बार टीम जापानी सर्कल में भी घुसी, लेकिन गोल नहीं हो सका। लेकिन आखिरी क्षणों में भारत ने जोरदार वापसी करते हुए मुकाबले को अपने नाम किया और फाइनल में जगह बनाई।
