हल्द्वानी शहर के आम नागरिकों के लिए मंगलवार का दिन नई राहत लेकर आया, जब मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने हल्द्वानी सिटी बस सेवा का शुभारंभ किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने सर्किट हाउस परिसर से हरी झंडी दिखाकर बसों को रवाना किया।
मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कहा कि सिटी बस सेवा का शुभारंभ शहर के विकास की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। इस सेवा से नागरिकों को सस्ती, सुलभ और सुरक्षित परिवहन सुविधा मिलेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि इस पहल से शहर के यातायात दबाव में कमी आएगी, प्रदूषण घटेगा और ऊर्जा संरक्षण को भी बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार का लक्ष्य उत्तराखंड के प्रत्येक नगर में आधुनिक, पर्यावरण अनुकूल और सुरक्षित परिवहन व्यवस्था विकसित करना है, ताकि आम जन को बेहतर आवागमन सुविधा उपलब्ध हो सके।
परिवहन विभाग के अधिकारियों ने जानकारी दी कि सिटी बस सेवा को चरणबद्ध तरीके से शहर के प्रमुख मार्गों पर प्रारंभ किया जाएगा, जिससे स्थानीय नागरिकों, विद्यार्थियों तथा नौकरीपेशा लोगों को अधिक सुविधा मिलेगी।
इस अवसर पर विधायक बंशीधर भगत (कालाढूंगी), राम सिंह कैड़ा (भीमताल), भाजपा जिलाध्यक्ष प्रताप बिष्ट कुमाऊं कमिश्नर दीपक रावत, आईजी श्रीमती रिद्धिम अग्रवाल, मुख्य विकास अधिकारी सुश्री अनामिका सहित अनेक जनप्रतिनिधि एवं अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
