मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि राज्य स्थापना के कार्यक्रम सादगी से मनाये जायेंगे। मार्चुला में सोमवार को हुए बस हादसे के कारण मुख्यमंत्री ने यह निर्णय लिया है। सचिवालय में अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने निर्देश दिये कि यह आकलन कर लिया जाए कि पर्वतीय क्षेत्रों में कहां अतिरिक्त बसें चलाने की आवश्यकता है।
आवश्यकता के अनुसार नई गाड़िया खरीदकर उन क्षेत्रों में व्यवस्था की जाए। त्योहारों के दृष्टिगत भी जिन क्षेत्रों में अतिरिक्त बसों की व्यवस्था करने की आवश्यकता प्रतीत होती है, वह व्यवस्था की जाए। यह सुनिश्चित किया जाए कि इस तरह की घटनाओं की पुनरावृत्ति न हो। मुख्यमंत्री ने पहले ही निर्देश दिये थे कि सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से सड़कों पर क्रैश बैरियर लगाये जाएं। उन्होंने निर्देश दिये कि इस कार्य में लापरवाही बरतने वाले अधिकारियों का जबाब तलब किया जाए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि बस दुर्घटना में अपने माता-पिता को खोने वाली बेटी शिवानी की देखभाल और शिक्षा कि जिम्मेदारी राज्य सरकार लेगी, ताकि वह जीवन में आगे बढ़कर स्वयं और अपने माता-पिता के सपने साकार कर सके। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कल हुई वाहन दुर्घटना में सबंधित चौकी प्रभारियों की भी जिम्मेदारी तय की जाए और उनके खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जाए।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य स्थापना दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में 08 नवम्बर को प्रस्तावित सभी सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों को स्थगित कर प्रदेशभर में सेवा और स्वच्छता के कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये जाएंगे। राज्य स्थापना दिवस के तहत आयोजित होने वाले बड़े समारोह, लोकार्पण और शिलान्यास कार्यक्रमों के दौरान भी सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन नहीं किया जायेगा।
इस अवसर पर प्रमुख सचिव आर.के सुधांशु, सचिव शैलेश बगोली, विनय शंकर पाण्डेय, अपर पुलिस महानिदेशक ए.पी. अंशुमान एवं महानिदेशक सूचना बंशीधर तिवारी उपस्थित थे।
