हरिद्वार। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने मंगलवार को आम महोत्सव के दौरान ‘बीज संजीवनी अभियान’ का शुभारंभ किया। उन्होंने आम, जामुन, कटहल, नीम और बेल के बीज रोपित कर अभियान की शुरुआत की तथा प्रदेशवासियों से फलों के बीज फेंकने के बजाय उन्हें रोपित कर हरित उत्तराखंड के निर्माण में भागीदारी निभाने की अपील की।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि पर्यावरण संरक्षण और हरित उत्तराखंड के निर्माण में प्रत्येक नागरिक की भूमिका महत्वपूर्ण है। उन्होंने लोगों से फल खाने के बाद उनके बीज सुरक्षित स्थानों पर रोपित करने का आग्रह किया, ताकि अधिक से अधिक वृक्ष विकसित हो सकें और पर्यावरण संरक्षण को बढ़ावा मिले।

उन्होंने कहा कि हरिद्वार से शुरू हुआ यह अभियान पूरे प्रदेश में जनआंदोलन के रूप में आगे बढ़ाया जाएगा। इससे प्राकृतिक रूप से पौधों का विकास होगा, हरित हरिद्वार अभियान को नई गति मिलेगी और जैव विविधता संरक्षण के साथ आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए स्वच्छ एवं हरित वातावरण सुनिश्चित करने में मदद मिलेगी।

मुख्यमंत्री ने युवाओं, विद्यार्थियों, स्वयंसेवी संगठनों और विभिन्न संस्थाओं से अभियान में सक्रिय भागीदारी की अपील करते हुए विश्वास जताया कि जनसहभागिता से यह पहल पर्यावरण संरक्षण का प्रभावी जनआंदोलन बनेगी।
