जिलाधिकारी आशीष भटगांई ने शनिवार को ऐतिहासिक, पौराणिक व धार्मिक उत्तरायणी मेले की तैयारियों का स्थलीय निरीक्षण कर जायजा लिया। जिलाधिकारी ने मेले को भव्य रूप दिए जाने को लेकर नुमाईश खेत में मंच स्थल का निरीक्षण करते हुए कहा कि मंच को सुरक्षित एवं आकर्षक बनाते हुए मेलार्थियों को बैठने का उचित प्रबन्ध सुनिश्चित किया जाए।

टेंट आदि को समय से स्थापित किया जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि मैदान के किनारे लगने वाली दुकानों एवं अन्य मनोरंजन सामाग्रियों को सुव्यवस्थित रूप से स्थापित करते हुए मेलार्थियों के आवागमन के लिए प्रयाप्त स्थान छोड़ा जाए। ऐतिहासिक,पौराणिक व धार्मिक उत्तरायणी मेले को भव्य रूप देने एवं मेलार्थियों व श्रद्धालुओं को किसी प्रकार की असुविधा का सामना न करने पड़े, इस हेतु सभी आवश्यक व्यवस्थायें समय रहते सुनिश्चित की जाए।

जिलाधिकारी ने उसके बाद मेले स्थल एवं स्नान घाटों में चल रहे सौंदर्यीकरण के कार्यों का निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने सरयू घाट के नदी के दोनों ओर वाल पेंटिंग करने के साथ ही सफाई का विशेष ध्यान रखने के निर्देश दिए।

सरयू व गोमती नदी में निर्माणाधीन अस्थायी लॉक ब्रिज के कार्यों में तेजी लाने के निर्देश देते हुए मेले के दौरान सुरक्षा के दृष्टिगत पुल के दोनों ओर सुरक्षा जवानों की तैनाती करने के निर्देश दिए। मेले के दौरान आयोजित होने वाली विभिन्न खेल गतिविधियों के साथ ही सरयू घाट में आयोजित होने वाले दंगल प्रतियोगिता में भी सुरक्षा के पुख्ता इंतजाम सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए।

स्नान घाट पर सफाई व्यवस्था दुरुस्त रखने के साथ ही वहां स्थापित महिला चेजिंग रूम में पेंट करने के निर्देश दिए। जिलाधिकारी ने सम्पूर्ण मेले अवधि में स्वच्छता का विशेष ध्यान रखने के निर्देश ईओ को दिए है। जिलाधिकारी ने बागनाथ मंदिर समिति को मंदिर परिसर में सफाई व्यवस्था एवं मंदिर को फूलों से सजावट आदि करने को कहा।

निरीक्षण के दौरान एसडीएम मोनिका,ईई पीडब्ल्यूडी संजय सिंह पांडेय,हयात सिंह परिहार आदि उपस्थित रहे।
